Terminate Simulated Gambling Facilities

For immediate release: The Lake County Republican Party Executive Committee passed the following resolution on April 25, 2023:

RESOLUTION 23-05:

DEMANDING THAT LAKE COUNTY AND ALL MUNICIPALITIES WITHIN LAKE COUNTY USE ALL LEGAL MEANS TO TERMINATE SIMULATED GAMBLING
FACILITIES

The Lake County Republican Party demands that the Lake County and all Municipalities located in Lake County use all legal means necessary to terminate any and all simulated gambling facilities in their respective jurisdictions. 

Such gaming facilities are a blight and detriment to the quality of life in Lake County by spurring crime, including robberies, drug use and burglaries.

Several cities in the county have already banned simulated gambling businesses and we call on ALL local governments to join them in doing so.
